Master and Margarita.
Canvas, oil, 40x50 cm.
y.2012
The painting is inspired by the novel of the same name by M. Bulgakov. It depicts the first meeting between Margarita and the Master, when "love appeared before them like a murderer emerging from around the corner..." In their eyes, there is a sense of searching for a kindred soul, a silent recognition that their lives will be forever changed. The color palette emphasizes the softness and, at the same time, the tension of the moment, creating an atmosphere of a fateful encounter. This work is for those who do not believe that "true, eternal love exists," but seek proof of it in art.
